处于成长期的中国高等职业教育面临着多方面的挑战。普通高校的技术教育优势和普通高等教育的教育教学改革发展 ,使普通高校举办高职教育成为历史的必然和必须。充分利用普通高校技术教育优势 ,可持续地增加高职教育的技术内涵 ,创造高水平的产学研结合教育平台和师资培训基地 ,顺应职业岗位教育层次的高移 ,构建职业教育与本科教育、研究生教育相互衔接的立交桥 ,是保证职业教育可持续发展的关键所在 ,也是形成区域经济腾飞的强大动力的关键所在。

Higher vocational education, which is at a stage of vigorous growth in China, is facing many challenges. Owing to the advantages enjoyed by colleges and universities in conducting technical education and the development of teaching reforms in the field of higher education, it has become necessary and inevitable for them to conduct higher vocational education as well. In order to guarantee a sustainable development of higher vocational education and make it a powerful driving force in promoting the rapid development of the regional economy, it is imperative to make full use of the advantages of colleges and universities in technical education, to increase the technological content of higher vocational education, to create a high-level educational platform and teacher-training bases where production is combined with teaching and research, to meet the requirement of the upgrading of educational status for various job posts and to construct a interlocked flyover for vocational education, undergraduate education and postgraduate education.
