艺术史研究方法之探讨

Methods of Studying History of Art

艺术史的研究应分为两部分来探讨。一是史前艺术或原始艺术 ,一是有史载记录后的艺术。史前艺术史的研究应以考古学的方法和反推法为主 ;史载后艺术史的风格研究法和编年研究法都有其缺陷 ,风格和编年研究法相结合构成的十字交叉法可能是一个比较合理和科学的方法。

The study of the history of art should be set into two sections. One i s on prehistoric art or the primitive art. The other is on the art recorded in h istory. Methods of archaeology and counter-sequence should be applied in the stu dy of prehistoric art, while combining studies on stylistics with those of chron icles may be a scientific and reasonable method for the art recorded in history.
