利用棱镜耦合器测量光波导衬底的折射率

Measurement of refractive index of substrate materials of optical waveguides with a prism coupler

本文提出了测量LiNbO_3衬底折射率的新方法,用棱镜耦合方法并测量光的强度在棱镜底面处全内反射恰遭到破坏的角度计算折射率。该方法可以用于分析待测铌酸锂基片是否可以用作衬底。

In this papot we present a new method for measurement of refractive index of LiNbO3 optical waveguides, i. e. we can calculate the refractive index of the substrate by the angle, at which the light intensity reflected from the bottom face of the coupling prism is falling down abruptly due to the destruction of total internal reflection. This method can be used to check the usage feasibility of LiNbO3 substrate.
