Globalization and Nationality: Analyzing a Crucial Point in the Study of Globalization

全球化本身潜在地包含着单一化和同质化的危险 ,由此引起了民族主义的反弹 ,以致反全球化浪潮此起彼伏。民族性是一种远比全球性更具根源性的力量 ,脱离民族特殊性的全球同质化既不现实也不可能。作为文化的内核和灵魂 ,哲学是最能体现全球性与民族性张力的一种文化形态 ,从而成为文化普遍主义和特殊主义两种不同诉求之间争辩的焦点 ;同时 ,分析和评论了中国哲学界关于“中国哲学的合法性”的争论。

Globalization has an inherent tendency of unicity and homogeneity. This has resulted in revival of nationalism, which, in turn, has given rise to waves of anti globalization. As nationality is far more deeply rooted than globalization, it is neither realistic nor possible to advocate globalization without consideration of characteristics of specific nationality. The author points out that being the common core and soul of culture, philosophy can best reflect the scope of both the universal and the national. Thus, it becomes the focus of discussion between cultural universalism and specialism. The article also analyzes and evaluates the debate over justification of a Chinese philosophy among the academic circle.
