By means of analyzing some experts' views on grammar teaching and applying them to English classroom teaching, the author thought it quite necessary to teach grammar in college English classes. Grammar teaching should be carried out according to the grammar forms or tenses and meanings. U. Penny s principles for grammar teaching and some relevant practical activities were introduced in this article.
