Taing the multi-media red-line management of Guangzhou Office of Surveying and Mapping for Real Estate as an example, this paper demonstrates the efficient management of red-line with GIS technology and its scheme. This system uses VB to programme and has resolved the problem of users’ data management by making use of the technology of multi-media and magnanimous storage of graphic data.
