Mozi’s Management Ethics and Its Values in Modern Times

墨子伦理思想与政治思想共融,紧扣“兼爱”这个核心,遵循与“别”相对立的“兼爱”原则,提出了“贵义尚利”的义利统一观、“必兴天下之利,除天下之害”的伦理指向和“尚贤、亲士、修身”的修身亲士观等管理伦理思想,具有超越时代的意义。

Both Mozi’s ethics and political ideology combined together, which have important management value. “universal love” is the common core of both Mozi’s ethics and political ideology. Based on the combination of both Mozi’s ethics and political ideology, and centering closely on the core of “universal love”, this text preliminary analyses Mozi’s management ethics and its present values from such several aspects as the “universal love” principle against “opposing each other”, and the value outlook of the combination of esteeming righteousness and value benefits, and the aim of both firmly prospering profits of the nation and ridding the people of a scourge, and the value outlook of esteeming and being close to an able and virtuous person and that of cultivating one’s moral character, etc.
