浅谈英语阅读教学

A General View on Teaching English Reading

针对当前的阅读教学中存在的一些问题,提出阅读教学应当激发学生的阅读兴趣,阅读选材应以学习者的阅读需求为基础,以学习者的选择标准为准绳,教给学生掠读、检索读、猜测等阅读技巧,采取“以学生为中心”的教学方式,加强学生课内阅读和课外阅读的训练,使学生的阅读能力得到不断提高,以适应今后的工作和生活。

Knowledge explosion and information revolution are two main features of the present age.The ever-increasing knowledge and information have presented new requirements for learners' reading capability, which is also what English reading course aims at.Based on the problems existing in current English reading course,this paper puts forward the idea that English reading teachers should first stimulate learners' interest.Then, on the basis of learners' selecting standard,the selection of reading materials should meet learners' needs.Also, the teacher should teach such reading skills as skimming,scanning, word-guessing and others in class.Meanwhile,by applying the 'learner-centered' teaching approach, the teacher should strengthen the in-class and after-class training in order to promote learners' reading comprehensibility and make them adapt well to future life and work.
