摘要
QoS是目前较为活跃的一个研究领域,作者简要说明了多媒体通信的特殊要求,并着重讨论了多媒体通信服务质量保证的几种技术方案—集成服务/资源预留InterServ/RSVP、区分服务DiffServ、多协议标签交换协议MPLS的功能原理和适用范围.在具体分析各种方案的优势和局限性的基础上,进一步探讨了多种技术相结合实现端到端的QoS保证的发展趋势.
This article introduces the requirement of multimedia communication over networks in detail.As the Internet increasingly growth and the rapid transformation of the Internet into a commercial infrastructure,demands for service quality have rapidly developed.The Quality of Service (QoS) can hardly be guaranteed and the traditional IP network becomes the bottleneck,which hinders the further development of network.Therefore,IETF has developed three models to achieve the QoS in IP network:InterServ,DiffServ and MPLS,the latter being the tendency of development.After particular discussion of these models,we point out the current issues and research trends.
