The inter-cooled recuperated(ICR)gas turbine is the one operating in a complex cycle with an intercooler for cooling compressed air and a recuperator for recovering heat from discharged gas.The gas turbine of this kind features an excellent part-load performance and therefore is an ideal power plant for naval ships.In the paper,the evolution history of the ICR gas turbine and its technology features are discussed,and its key apparatuses such as intercooler,recuperator and variable area nozzle are analyzed with emphasis.
