Jiang Zemin's “Two Vanguards” theory of the Party is a new recognition, generalization and statement about the Party's essence and feature.It indicates that the Chinese Communist Party is not only the vanguard of the working class but also the vanguard of the Chinese people, that the CPC has the solid foundation of class and widespread foundation of the mass.This theory is of great significance to consolidate the governing party and achieve its historical mission at the current phase.
