Characteristic Polynomial and Residual Polynomial Region Assignment for 2-D Singular Systems

The problem of characteristic structure assignment of 2-D singular systems is discussed in pre-specified regions via state feedback. Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the solvability of part coefficients assignment to the characteristic polynomial of the systems. An algorithm is used for the computations of the corresponding residual polynomial confined in a given region.Results can be extended to the case of multi-input multi-output 2-D singular systems. Finally, an illustrative example demonstrates the applicability of the proposed approach.
