Study on Growth, Structure and Spectral Properties of Na_5Ho (WO_4)_4 Single Crystal

用助熔剂缓冷法培养出化学计量比的发光单晶体Na_5HO(WO_4)_4。该晶体属四方晶系,I4_1/a空间群,晶胞参数为a=11.437(?),c=11.336(?),c/a=0.991。测定了该晶体室温下的反射光谱、激发光谱及荧光光谱。观察到Ho^(3+)离子的~5S_2—~5I_8跃迁的强黄绿色荧光发射。

A novel luminescent crystal of Na_5Ho (WO_4)_4 is grown from stoichiometric melts by flux method. The crystal belongs to the tetragonal system, with space group I4_1/a. and cell parameters a=I1. 437(?), c=11.336(?), c/a=0.991. The excitation, reflection and fluorescence spectra of such crystal are examined at room temperature. The strong fluorescence emission of the ~5S_2—~5I_8 transition of Ho^(3+) ion suggests that it will be a potential material.
