edGIS技术是GIS技术与Internet技术相结合的产物 ,是GIS技术的发展 ,是GIS技术走向社会化的必然途径 ,是实现“数字地球”的核心技术之一 .介绍了WebGIS的概念、结构、功能、实现技术及其发展中存在的数据传输速率瓶颈、地理信息共享、互操作、分布式工作等问题 .认为第二代互联网、地理标识语言、互操作和分布式工作技术是影响WebGIS发展的关键技术 .

WebGIS technology is the result of the combination of GIS and Internet technology and the development of GIS technology.It is inevitable that GIS technology moves towards Socialization.It is one of the key technology of realizing“digital earth”.This paper introduces the concept,structure,function and realizable technology of WebGIS The existing problems,such as bottleneck of transfer rate of data,geographical information sharing,interoperability,distributed work,etc are discussed.The second generation of Inernet,geography markup language,interoperability and distributed work are the key technology of influencing WebGIS development.
