We have developed a new optical biopsy device for the diagnosis of cervical precancerosis, which is based on the ultraviolet-induced intrinsic fluorescence technology to detect neoplasia. The device contains a special-designed ultraviolet lamp and a weak light CCD with a high performance and is a low-cost diagnostic tool for gynecology.
