西方有关文化帝国主义的文化霸权理论,其形态与立场都比较复杂,本文所考察的有关文化帝国主义的理论中,萨伊德的东方学理论与后殖民文化批判理论对文化帝国主义是持批判与否定态度的,汤林森的文化帝国主义理论、亨廷顿的文明冲突论以及福山的历史终结论都暗中支持了一种西方文化帝国主义的文化霸权观。

The formation and stance of cultural supremacy theory in western cultural imperialism are quite complicated. Among the relevant theories on cultural imperialism in this article, Edward W. Said's Orientalism and Postcolonial cultural criticism criticizes and negates cultural imperialism, while Thomson cultural imperialism theory, Samuel P. Huntington's clash civilization theory and Francis Fukuyama's The End of History in secret support the cultural supremacy views in western cultural imperialism.
