Humanitarianism is not only a moral norm, but also a philosophical principle with which people get along. The basis of humanitarianism does not lie in human sympathy and conscience, but, instead in the relations between obligations, rights and interests, which people must face when they exist and co-operate. This principle is a basic one for social development as well as human existence and cooperation. In the context of today′s society where market economy is exercised, it is particularly imperative to learn how to respect and practice genuine humanitarianism.
