介绍软起动器在韶钢四轧厂加热炉通风机上的应用,阐述软起动器的基本原理及其特点,通过与原自耦减压起动器的对比,证明使用软起动器在中、大容量电动机起动中具有卓越性能,是替代自耦减压起动及其它传统起动方式的一项新技术.

The application of the soft starter to the ventilator of soaking furnace at No.4 rolling mill of SIGS are introduced, and the basic principle and characters of the starter are presented in the present discussion. It is found that the soft starter has a better performance than the former self-adjusting voltage-releasing one for large- and medium-sized motors; and it has been proved that the it is a new technology which can replace the self-adjusting voltage-releasing starter and other traditional ones.
