The development history and the catalytic oxidation mechanism of the Fenton reagent were presented. The feasibility of the use of the Fenton reagent in the textile bleaching was proved by the examples of the catalytic oxidation bleaching in textile dyeing and printing. An optimized program with some objects was proposed, which set the theoretical base for the study and development of the catalytic oxidation in the dyeing and printing.
