Recognition on the Relationship between the Heart and Brain

文章结合古代有关学术思想及现代医学理论和实践 ,探讨了中西医关于心脑的相互关系 ,提出了“心脑相关”学说 ,认为中医理论体系不应拘泥于“心神说”与“脑神说”之取舍争议 ,而倡“心脑互为体用”说 ,脑神为体 ,心神为用 ,心脑在人体的精神活动调节和发病中具有同等重要的地位。

The article discussed on the relationship between the heart and brain, binding the related academic thinking in ancient times and the theory and practice of modern medicine, and putted out the theory of correlation of heart and brain. It should not adhere to the choice of heart and brain as the main organ bringing about mind in Chinese medicine theory. It advocated the theory of correlation of brain and heart, in which the brain as substance and the heart as function.
