Statistics of industrial accidents in China during the period from November in 2003 to February in 2004

统计了 2 0 0 3年 1 1月 - 2 0 0 4年 2月国内发生的各种安全事故856起 ,包括矿业事故、交通事故、爆炸事故、火灾、毒物泄露和中毒及其他事故。统计表明 ,在这些事故中 ,矿业事故最多 ,占 57.7% ,平均每天4.1起事故 ,其次是交通事故 (31 .1 % )、其他事故 (5.0 % )、爆炸事故 (2 .9% )、火灾 (2 .0 % )、毒物泄露和中毒 (1 .3% )。 856起事故共死亡 3 0 2 1人 ,伤 2 671人 ,死亡人数的百分比分别为交通事故 43.8%、矿业事故38.6%、其他事故 6.2 %、火灾 6.1 %、爆炸事故 4.6%、泄露中毒 0 .8% ;受伤人数的百分比分别为交通事故 71 .5%、矿业事故 8.1 %、泄露中毒7.7%、火灾 5.8%、爆炸事故 3.4%、其他事故 3.4%。

The present paper reports the statistical data and analysis of industrial accidents in China during the period from November in 2003 to February in 2004. There are 856 accidents in total, which can be summarized and classified into six categories: mining industry, traffic, explosion, leakage and poisoning, fire, and the others. Of all the 856 accidents, the percentages of the six categories can be illustrated according to their frequency order 57.7%, 31.1%, 2.9%, 1.3%, 2.0%, and 5.0% respectively. The total casualty is 3 021 and the percentages for the six categories are 38.6%, 43.8%, 4.6%, 0.8%, 6.1%, and 6.2% respectively. The number of the wounded is 2 671 and the percentages for the six categories are 8.1%, 71.5%, 3.4%, 7.7%, 5.8%, and 3.4% respectively. The analyses of the statistics show that the top ten provinces and cities with the highest accident number are: Guizhou(122 accidents), Sichuan(115), Chongqing(60), Yunnan(59), Hunan(50), Fujian(42), Gansu(42), Hebei(40), Anhui(40) and Jilin(39). The top ten provinces and cities with the largest casualty number are: Chongqing(367 dead), Guizhou(323), Yunnan(274), Sichuan(211), Fujian(124), Gansu(124), Hebei(122), Hunan(115), Anhui(101) and Jiangxi(101). And the top ten provinces and cities with the biggest wounded number are: Yunnan(341 wounded), Guizhou(268), Sichuan(200), Hubei(158), Guangdong(124), Shaanxi(120), Jilin(114), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region(113), Anhui(109), Fujian(102) and Gansu(102).
