He Xiangning was not only a prominent democratic revolutionist,but also a famous painter.Her more than 60 years painting career could be divided into 3 periods.Although the styles and themes she emphasized particularly on were different in each period,He Xiangning's artist life always related tightly to the revolution of the time.Her paintings that she served the revolution of Chinese people were always full of revolutionary enthusiasm and great vital energies,which indicated the will of revolution,fight spirit,noble sentiment and the grand integrity of Chinese people.He Xiangning's more than half a century career of painting went on with the age.Her paintings reflected the direction of the revolution in modem and contemporary China,and her rich and colorful revolutionary career,which were called 'historic paintings'.
