世界体系思想对华侨华人历史研究的意义

World System Thought and the Historical Study of the Overseas Chinese

作为一种社会科学分析视角 ,沃勒斯坦的世界体系思想对华侨华人历史研究具有十分重大的理论指导意义。本文认为 ,这种影响主要体现于三个方面 :分析模式与价值取向的意义、分析单位和历史逻辑起点重构的意义以及分析背景和历史分期重构的意义。

Immanuel Wallerstein's thought of the world system as an analytical perspective of social sciences has an important theoretical significance to the historical study of the overseas Chinese. This essay argues that the significance is embodied in three main aspects, the significance of the analytical model and the orientation of values, of the analytical unit and the reconstruction of the historical and logical starting-point, and of the analytical background and the rebuilding of the historical periodization.
