Studying the Relation between Figure-attached Symbol and Presentational Symbol in China's Architecture

象征是中国传统建筑的重要创作方法。比附性象征与表现性象征存在着诸多方面的区别,同时又有着密切的联系。二者具有各自的价值,在建筑创作应该结合运用,以构成多向度、多层次的象征复合体,表征不同层次的建筑内涵。

Symbol is an important method for creation in Chinese traditional architectures. Figure-attached symbol and presentational symbol have a close relationship while many in difference. They have their respective values and should mutually utilize in architectural creation, forming an architectural intension of different hierarchies with the symbolic complex of multi-dimension and multi-level.
