Relationship between stress syndrome and liver degeneration in pig

本文对186头商品猪因宰前绝食所产生“生理异常肝”进行系统研究。结果表明:随绝食时间延长,肝脏变性区域在扩大,肝细胞脂肪变性在加重,糖元在肝内贮存量在减少直至消失,血清中游离脂肪酸明显上升。因此最佳候宰绝食时间为20～30小时。

Physiological abnormities of the livers from market 186 hogs, which had been caused owing to fasting before slaughter, were studied. The results revealed when the fasting time had been prolonged, the liver degeneration areas were expanded, the fatty degenarations of liver cells were exacerbated, the amounts of liver glyco gen decreased till disappeared, the free fatty acid levels in the sera were obviously increased. So the optinum fasting time before slaughter was 20 to 30 hours.
