Several major utilizations of coal dust have been elaborated: it can be used for making building materials including bricks, various blocks, cement; fertilizers and agent for improving soil; it can also be applied for wastewater treatment and sulfur removal from fumes. The paper points out that pollution elimination and optimized resource utilization are the only way out in the 21 century.
