Causes and precaution of postoperative hematoma of craniotomy

目的 总结开颅术后血肿原因及预防措施。方法 对 6 3例开颅术后患者血肿的所在部位、发生时间等资料进行分析、总结。结果 术后血肿患者死亡率高 ,感染率高 ,平均住院日长。结论 术前全面评估病情、术中规范手术操作、正确应用止血方法可预防术后血肿 ,减少术后血肿发生。

Objective To summarize the causes and the prophylactic measures of postoperative hematomas after craniotomy.Methods To analyze the location and the formation time of postoperative hematomas after craniotomy in our institute between January 2000 and June 2002.Results Statistically,the mortality and the infection rate in postoperative hematoma patients were high ( P <0.05),and their hospitalization time was longer ( P <0.05),compared with those patients without postoperative hematoma.Conclusions By completely evaluating the liability factors before operation,standardization of manipulating during operation and by using hemostatic measures correctly,some of the postoperative hematomas can be prevented.To discover hematoma promptly is important to manage it and avoid adverse effects.
