Transformation from Chinese FDS to English PLC

汉语原型句蜕的英译形式多种多样,其中变换成英语的多元逻辑组合是涉及比较复杂变换细节的一种,因而成为颇具特色的语义块构成变换子类.文章从概念阐释入手,详尽分析了这种变换的语言现象、变换的必要性以及实施变换的技术准备.

It is ordinary that transformation between Chinese and English maintains the type of constitution of Semantic Chunk, but the transformation from Chinese FDS (Formal Degraded Sentence) to English PLC (Plural Logical Combination) is beyond the above presupposition and occurs now and then. The linguistic phenomenon of this kind of transformation is discussed in detail in this paper. The conclusion is that the occurrence of the transformation is feasible generally though not general phenomenon. The concrete method on how to process the transformation in MT is discussed in the last part.
