Architectural Orientation Creation in the Campus Context——The Design of Information Technology Building of Tsinghua University

通过清华大学信息技术大楼的设计实践阐述了一个设计原则,即如何恰如其分地给建筑“定位”,并从环境、功能、文化三个层面上探讨了恰当的“定位”对建筑创作的意义。

With the illustration of the design of technology building of Tsinghua University, the designerexpounds the principle been followed in the course of creation, namely, how to make a suitable orientation fora building. Meanwhile, from the view of environment, function, and culture, the significance of suitableorientation in the architectural creation is discussed.
