According to the progressive development of Xinging city's construction,the city illumination has been became to the integrated city planning engineering to represent the city appearance.The paper explains the varieties disadvantages of the present street lamp control condition of Xining city that is mainly using `dispersive time control method',and puts forward the essentiality of street lamp's intelligent monitor system,also expounds the monitor system's function,constitution,and its power factor etc.The implement of this technology is of great benefit to the city supervision.
