摘要
《子夜》中的吴荪甫并非是一个十分成功的人物形象塑造。这一人物形象所不可避免的公式化、概念化,使作品缺乏应有的思想容量、意识容量和美学深度。造成这一情况的原因是多方面的,最主要的是作家将现实政治斗争的需要放在了艺术审美创造的需要之上了,作家违背艺术规律去求新追异,反而使这一人物形象的塑造既不新也不异,而趋于庸俗化、平面化。
Wu Sunfu, a hero in the novel Midnight by Mao Dun, is not a successful image. The inevitable formulization and conceptualization of his image cause the story short of thinking volume, conscious contents and aesthetic depth. Of various reasons leading to the situation, the most important one is that the author put the needs of real political battle upon the ones of artistic and aesthetic creation. His pursuit of novelty against artistic laws makes the heroic image mediocre and superficial.
