垂体脓肿的MRI表现

MRI findings of pituitary abscess

目的:分析垂体脓肿的MRI表现特点。方法:回顾4例经手术证实的垂体脓肿病例资料,结合文献对其MRI表现进行分析、讨论。结果:平扫均未见正常垂体,T1WI呈等低混杂信号或等高混杂信号,T2WI呈高信号或高低混杂信号。增强后在主体环状强化灶上方和蛐或两侧形成“子灶”3例,2例伴有视交叉明显强化,1例伴软脑膜强化。结论:垂体脓肿平扫无特征,增强后某些征象具特异性。

Objective: To analyze MRI features of pituitary abscess, and to improve its diagnostic accuracy. Methods: MRI findings and clinical materials of 4 patients with pituitary abscess proved by surgery were analyzed retrospectively. Ruselts: Pre-contrast MRI showed iso-hypointense or iso-hyperintense heterogeneous intensity on T1WI and hyperintense or hyper- hypointense on T2WI. Post-gadolinium MRI showed that the satellite foci was found bilaterally or superior to the main ring-like lesion in 3 cases, optic chiamatic enhancement was seen in 2 cases, leptomeningeal enhancement was detected in 1 patient. Conclusion: There were no specific signs of pituitary abscess on conventional MRI. Post-gadolinium shows some MRI findings are specific for diagnosis of pituitary abscess.
