Culture Images Should Mainly Depend on Foreignization

从翻译理论认识的发展,语言文化所具有的开放性和渗透力,实现跨文化交际的目的,以及读者的接受能力等四个方面来分析,认为文化意象应以异化为主要手段,指出译者要掌握好尺度,在必要的情况下进行适度归化,以使两者相辅相成、相得益彰。

Analyzing from the perspective of the development of translation studies, the opening and penetrating of language and culture, the realization of cross- culture communication, and the reader’ s acceptance ability, this paper holds that translation of culture images should mainly depend on foreignization. The translator has to exert his uttermost to achieve an optimum balance between foreignization and domestication.
