Reference: A Cognitive Inquiry

以RT,Experientialism和CB为视角来探讨英语句子照应解读过程中的心理机制,提出句子照应不仅源于关联理论和经验主义认知,同时也有赖于概念整合与突显结构,彼此互为关联与补充,提出了一个句子照应的语用认知模型。

From the perspectives of the Relevant Theory(RT), Experientialism and Conceptual Blending(CB), this paper aims to probe into the mental mechanisms involved in the process of reference interpretation. This paper holds that the successful reading of reference is decided not merely by RT, but also by CB and the emergent structure. It is also maintained that RT, Experientialism and CB supplement each other in relation to the successful understanding of the reference. They have more explanatory power when they are combined. The paper proposes a cognitive pragmatic working model.
