The paper discusses the importance of practice and training in the Jewelry craft and identification speciality in higher vocational education institutions. The professional training for the jewelry specialists can be achieved by establishing practice and training instruction system, setting up practice and training room inside campus and training base outside campus through school and enterprise cooperation, and also by encouraging students to participate actively in after-class practice and training activites.
