南朝时期,由于统治者忽视对后代的正确教育和引导,因而出现了不少暴虐的君主和道德品质恶劣的贵族子弟;而士族门阀制度带来的重文轻武、轻视实务的社会风气,使一些士族高门子弟养尊处优,不思进取,毫无忧患意识,不仅丧失治理国家的才能,甚至失去社会生存的能力,一旦遇到逆境,就只能坐以待毙。这些历史的教训值得后人加以总结和重视。
