Objective To investigate the effect of automatic compression system apply to hemiplegia patients. Methods 28 post-stroke hemiplegia patients were used automatic compression system and 26 patients unused same kind of equipment were chosen as control. We evaluated its effects after 4 weeks. Results The Proprioceptive disorder and hand edema in experimental group patients were significantly improved than control(P<0.05). Incidence of hand edema, shouder-hand syndrome and deep venous thrombosis newly occurd in experimental group was lower than control. Conclusion This showd that automatic compression system was helpful to post-stroke patients in proprioceptive disorder and hand edema, in addition to prevent shoulder-hand syndrome thrombosis.
