Objective To observe the traumatizing effects of an anti tank missile. Methods A total of 5 dogs without anesthesia were fixed in the cabin of the tank at the sitting position simulating the usual location of the military men of the tank. Vital signs of the dogs before and after trauma were measured. Post traumatic gross and histological observation were performed. Results After the tank was hit, the animals suffered from serious muscle contusion, subdural hemorrhage, cerebral edema, pulmonary hemorrhage, bone fracture, and joint dislocation, but the severity of wound was related to the distance from the hitting point. Conclusion Violent shake can cause serious wound to some animals, but if tactical demand is completely met, the power of the weapon should be enhanced.
