通过对美国现代景观设计大师皮特·沃克的景观设计生涯及作品的介绍,分析了他的主要设计风格、特色,包括利用网格的叠置、与建筑的呼应、简洁形式与植物自然形态的对照产生的张力、对于四季和自然变化的细致体现、理性与神秘感的交织、运用现代材料表达出的“都市自然”等,并通过对他的剖析,展现出当代美国极简主义景观艺术的魅力。
Through introducing the professional life and landscape architecture design works of Peter Walker, the modern landscape artist of America, this article analyzed some main characteristics of his design style. Those include using overlapped metric, echoing to the building, contrasting the tension of simple form with natural flora, reflecting the changes of four seasons, interweaving mystery with rationality and using modern materials to express 'urban nature' .
