Intertextuality: the Technique of the Adaptation from a Classic to a Postmodernist Text

摘要《大话西游》是按照后现代主义原则对《西游记》进行改编的范例，它的出现符合后现代主义文化语境和香港受众群体的需求，其中戏拟、滑稽反串、拼帖等互文性手法的运用使作品产生震撼人心的效果，同时，《大话西游》这部后现代文本在阐释上的开放性恰恰契合了网络媒体的互文性特征，可以说，正是网络成就了《大话西游》。 A Chinese Odyssey , the film which was adapted from Journey to the West , has become a good example of how to rewrite classics in terms of postmodernist principle. It meets the demands of both the cultural context of Postmodernism and the targeted group in Hong Kong. Such intertextual techniques as parodying, buffoonery, playing a reversed role, and “piecing together”, etc., produce a stirring effect among viewers. Meanwhile, the openness of the interpretation of this postmodernist text is in accordance with the characteristics of the cyber media. It can be said that it is the web that accomplishes this film.
