摘要
儒家因为复古主义，历来被看作是倒退的，反对进化论的；但在近代，不少当时最先进的学者接受进化论，倒是源出于儒家、本文试图分析：儒家思想在帮助他们接受进化论思想时又带来了怎样的保留?保留后面有着怎样的批判?今天应当如何看待他们的批判?他们的儒家立场在今天给我们怎样的启示?
Confucian school is always taken as conservative and counter evolutionary, but in modern Chinese history many enlightened personages who accepted Evolutionism came from this school. This paper tries to answer the following questions: How did Confucianism help the Confucians accept Evolutionism and how did it make them conserve its tradition? What was then their critical attitude towards their conservation? How should we treat their criticism? And what kind of inspiration can we draw from their Confucian position?
