从“封倮誉清”论秦始皇为何重视大商人

Why Qin Shihang respect big merchants

一般观点认为,商人在秦(秦国和秦朝)是没有地位的。可《史记·货殖列传》中却记载有很多秦统治者重视大商人的史实。秦始皇为何重视大商人呢?本文从三方面阐述了其历史渊源和社会背景:第一,秦国人重视商业、尊重大商人是祖先留下的遗风。第二,商鞅变法时的“收拏事末者”之规定也并非禁绝一切商业活动。第三,类似于秦始皇“封傈誉清”重视大商人的举动乃是富国强兵的需要,也是情理中事。

Generally speaking, merchant was looked down upon in Qin dynasty. And yet,there are many recordings about Qin rulers espeially Qin shihuang respected big merchant. How to explain it is the ununited phenomenon of view point and recorder and,why Qin shihuang respected big merchant?
