It is the purpose of this articie to describe a new operative method named meshed relexation incisions. It is quite different compared with traditional relexation incisions in that a long incision became multiple short incisions around the wound edges. and its arrangment was regular and crisscrosing. Each insision was 8mm to 12mm long and can connect without secondery or delayed primary closure and skin grafting. These short incisions keep wound effusions shedding freely, so that the subcutaneous hematoma and the deep dead cavity may not be formed and the swelling of the wound extremely easy to subside The tension of the skin which was closed with the meshed relexation suture had been alleviated. The possibility of the skin necrosis reduced, and the cure rate enhanced remarkabiy. In 52 cases of extensive soft tissue injuries treated with the meshed relexation short incisions, satisfied results were obtained, of which excellent and good results were 82.8% and poor only in 2 cases (3.8%).
