From its very beginning, China's interbank FX market has been closely related to reforms and opening up, and tightly bound to the process of RMB convertibility.Based on a review of the FX market evolution, this paper looks ahead toward the prospects of RMB convertibility and its challenge to the domestic FX market, and discusses ideas on China's interbank FX market development.
