根据中共中央建议,2004年3月十届全国人大二次会议对我国现行宪法进行了再一次修改,通过了现行宪法的第四个修正案。此次修宪时机成熟,方式恰当,立意高远,是又一次成功的修宪,是我国现行宪法的又一次重大发展,对于我国社会主义现代化建设和整个民主法制建设,具有十分重要的意义。

The Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress passes the bill of the fourthamendment of the current constitution, at the proposal of the Central Committeeof theCCP at a right opportunity with an appropriate approach. It is a successfulconstitutional amendment, a great development of China's current constitution,of greatsignificance to China's socialist modernization and democratic legality construction.
