A Brief Study of the Architecture of Juanqin- zhai

倦勤斋位于紫禁城宁寿宫花园的最北部。本文通过对倦勤斋建筑及现存与之相关的图文档案的研究,考析倦勤斋的修建年代、建筑形制、内檐装修特点及使用情况,并指出其形制、装修与半亩园、敬胜斋的渊源关系。

The studio called Juanqin - zhai is the northernmost section of the garden of the Ningshou Palace in the Forbidden City. Through an examination of the architecture of Juanqin - zhai and related documentation, the author discusses the date of construction, architectural form, interior decoration and function of Juanqin - zhai and the relationship between the form and decoration of this building and that of Banmu Garden and the studio called Jingsheng -zhai.
