摘要
我们对周围世界的知觉体验与站在我们身旁的讲别种语言的人可以大不相同 ,其主要原因就在于人们宇宙观抑或时空观的差异。这种差异蕴藏在我们的语言模式之中 ,并对语言表达式有着绝对的强制作用。正因为如此 ,语言表达式就有规律可循。英汉语言事实和语言现象足以证明这一点。
The perceptual events that we experience can be very different from those experienced by a speaker of another language who is standing beside us, which is due to the difference of natural values (i.e. world view or time-space concept). The difference is codified in the patterns of our languages, and is absolutely obligatory upon the mode of expression, just because of which the laws of the mode of expression can be discovered in the language facts and linguistic phenomena of English and Chinese.
