摘要
从信息角度探讨文学翻译的意义主要在于 ,相对意义而言 ,信息更具客观性。英汉语言在信息的结构、类别、审美效果以及信息状况等方面都有相当的差异 ,翻译不但需要保留原有信息量 ,还需要根据英汉语言各自的信息特征来适当调整信息结构。
The significance of literary translation discussed from the perspective of information transference lies in that information, as compared with meaning, is of a more objective nature. The Chinese language and the English language differ in information structure, classification, aesthetic effect and information status. Translation, therefore, is not merely a matter of trying to retain the ST information, but also a process of making necessary adjustments in connection with the various features of information in both the ST and TT.
