卵巢浆液性肿瘤MMP-9和TIMP-1的表达意义

Expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in serous ovarian tumors and its clinical significance

目的 :探讨基质金属蛋白酶 9(matrixmetallopro teinase 9,MMP 9)及其金属蛋白酶组织抑制剂 (tissueinhibitorofmetalloproteinases 1 ,TIMP 1 )在卵巢浆液性肿瘤中的表达特点及意义 .方法 :采用免疫组化法 ,观察 6例正常卵巢组织 ,1 2例卵巢浆液性囊腺瘤 ,1 2例交界性囊腺瘤 ,2 2例卵巢浆液性囊腺癌组织中MMP 9及TIMP 1表达特点及规律 .结果 :正常卵巢上皮细胞只有 1例表达MMP 9,但有 5例表达TIMP 1 .大部分卵巢浆液性肿瘤细胞都有MMP 9及TIMP 1的表达 ,但其表达强度在恶性程度不同的肿瘤中有明显差异 .结论 :TIMP 1可能参与卵巢的正常生理功能 .MMP 9及TIMP 1在卵巢浆液性囊腺癌的浸润、转移中起了重要作用 .

AIM: To study the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP 9) and tissue specific inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases 1 (TIMP 1) in serous ovarian tumors. METHODS: Expression of MMP 9 and TIMP 1 in 6 normal ovaries, 12 serous cystadenomas of ovary, 6 borderline cystadenomas of ovary, and 22 serous cystadenocarcinomas of ovary were studied by immunohistochemical SP staining. RESULTS: Expression of MMP 7 was able to be detected in epithelial cells of only 1 of the normal ovaries, and expression of TIMP 1 was able to be detected in 5 of the normal ovaries. In most serous ovarian tumors, expression of MMP 9 and TIMP 1 was able to be detected in tumor cells, and the expression level of MMP 9 and TIMP 1 was different in serous ovarian tumors of different malignancy. CONCLUSION: TIMP 1 may have physiological function in normal ovary. MMP 9 and TIMP 1 play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of serous ovarian tumors.
