The Chinese Textile Economy:2003 Review and 2004 Outlook

2003年中国纺织业在出口、经济效益及生产方面均创下了历史最好水平。2004年对纺织工业而言,有利因素是世界经济总体趋好,国内工业化进程加快;但能源、出口环境及棉价等不利因素也日益凸显。文章分析了2003年国内纺织经济运行情况,在梳理其主要运行特征的基础上指出了2004年应投入的工作。

In 2003, the textile industry in China set the highest record inhistory in terms of export, economic benefit and production. In2004, the textile industry will face not only favorable conditionssuch as the recovery of the global economy and acceleratedprocess of industrialization in China, but also unfavorableconditions such as energy shortage, the environment of exportand increasing cotton prices. The article analyzes the operationof the textile economy in 2003 and maps out the tasks in 2004.
